    MAKING MANCHESTER

    30th October 2019, 7pm
    RNCM

This is a really exciting collaboration with The Runnymede Trust, Manchester University, Olympias Music Foundation and Kabantu. It’s a biggie!

Making Manchester is a multi-media performance exploring real-life stories of migration to the UK, as told by 60 pupils from Dean Trust Ardwick secondary school in Manchester. Using live music, poetry and physical theatre, the work explores how these unique family histories, and communities’ shared experiences of migration, are woven into the socio-cultural fabric of the city and its people.

This new immersive performance premiered in June, sharing stories of refugees who made their homes in Manchester and made Manchester what it is today. Directed by Emma Doherty. Watch the clip below for more insight:

Come along to our new performance, tickets cost just £5 and we’d love to see you there. To book your tickets, please click here!

The Vonnegut Collective’s Gary Farr and Gemma Bass are supported for this project by Arts Council England.
