May 19 News
This May we celebrated our 4th Birthday (the 22nd May just in case you need to remember for next year!) and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been a part of the journey so far, we couldn’t have done it without our brilliant members, collaborators, participants and friends! As well as our followers that continue to see our creative production change and grow.
There’s been lots of planning this month for projects in June and July, take a look at our Up and Coming Events for more information about what we have in store, including how to get tickets for Kinetic 2 and information about Making Manchester.
We completed our final R&D on ‘In-Between’ with composer Eve Harrison, choreographer Ruth Jones and many other brilliant organisations such as Manchester Collective, Sounds of the Engine House and professional dancers to explore and find a common language of a time _in between_. It was very experimental, challenging at times for our musical bodies, but we had a brilliant public sharing of the R&D at Manchester Art Gallery. You can take a look at some of the photos of the event here:
Towards the end of May we completed our 1st of 3 R&D residencies with the brilliant Animikii Theatre for The Feral Project. We all met up at The Point in Eastleigh for an intense 5-day residency. It was an inspiring week to get the project started, with so many challenges and opportunities to learn, develop and expand on our craft. You can have a look at some photos below, or in our Gallery:
We continue our 2nd R&D session the first week of June at The Lowry in Manchester, more news on that in our June blog, so keep your eyes peeled!
